Bigg Boss 10 will be on air from 16 October; here's who will be part of the show

Bigg Boss fans have reason to rejoice. Their wait for the next season will soon come to an end with the show going on air from 16 October. Salman Khan will be - once again - playing the host.

Colors CEO Raj Nayak confirmed the news on Twitter with a new promo.

The show has been gaining a lot of attention for its new format where commoners will join celebrities as participants in the house. While we still do not know the entire list of contestants, we do know some people who are to be a part of the show.

Mayur Verma, of Swaragini fame, has confirmed that he will be one of the contestants on the controversial show.

The TV actor, whose girlfriend was a part of the show last season, said to Bollywood Life, "I have been selected as a contestant in upcoming Bigg Boss 10. Last year in Season 9, I had been nominated as a wild card contestant, but as it was right after my breakup with Marina, I thought of refraining from sharing same screen space. But this time, I am very much looking forward to being on the show."

Social activist and founder of Bhumata Brigade (a Mumbai-based organisation), Trupti Desai has also spoken about participating in the show. Speaking to Firstpost, Desai said, "I had a meeting with the producers of the show on 19 August and I have requested them that there be a female as the next voice of Bigg Boss as opposed to a male. I will participate in the show if my demand is met, in this season or the next."

On the other hand Delhi-based cartoonist and motivational speaker KV Gautam came into the limelight after he refused to be a part of the show. He clarified his reasons for the rejection on Facebook saying, "The main reason is that it will not suit both my public image and personal temperament."

Kabir Bedi also denied that he was part of the new season of the reality TV show.
